Made in Greenwich (MIG) is an award-winning small, local shop in Greenwich, South East London, that showcases the wares of local artisans and makers. Items sold here are truly local. Made in Greenwich is already more than three years old, and is supported by the Greenwich Co-operative Development Agency (GCDA), which has been operating in London for the last 40 years, supporting communities to be healthy and sustainable.

Local makers from the Royal Borough of Greenwich come together in this one-of-a-kind shop, to sell limited edition, one-off arts & crafts gifts, which are not mass-produced or part of giant chains, allowing the local economy to thrive.

By charging a low commission (30%) on the products sold at MIG, we enable a large proportion of the income from sales to be re-invested back into the small makers’ business. In the meantime, GCDA, which is itself a not-for-profit business, runs a range of business courses for London based entrepreneurs and start-ups, further investing in local economies and neighbourhoods. Our courses are funded by Royal Borough of Greenwich and are FREE to people based in the captial.

Shopping local allows you to directly contribute to your local community. The local pound goes straight in the pockets of people in your town centre, helping support the local economy and small business and local jobs.
