Seed of Hope Card - winner announced!

It is with great pleasure that we can announce the winner of our Made in Greenwich card competition.

Heather Pacic designed this beautiful winning card which pulled in a grand total of 410 votes! Its combination of gentle pastel watercolour flowers and the direct message of care really appealed to people.

Congratulations Heather! You can pre-order your cards here.

We also had three worthy runners up. Ellen Strachan's hand cut and coloured lino print really caught the eye. It is no mean feat adding text to a lino cut in this way, and Ellen's handling of her materials is expert.

It is a really striking design.

Two other cards also gained more than 100 votes each. Both are completely different but obviously struck a chord with people too. A peaceful woodland scene, a watercolour by Kevin Godby makes wonderful use of light and shade, whilst Sarah Harper created a really colourful graphic card echoing the rainbows that have come to symbolise hope and gratitude during the pandemic. Well done to both of you.

Our winning card will be printed and sold to raise money to help fund community growing projects in Greenwich. Each card will come with sunflower seeds to help spread a little love during these difficult times.

We are also looking into producing other designs too. Watch this space!

Well done to EVERYONE who entered the competition. From gorgeous little ducklings heralding spring, to joyful trumpets, we were thrilled at the variety of beautiful designs and the emotion they expressed. Special congratulations to Dorothy, Nahima and Rosa - three young people who entered into our competition alongside the grown-ups. Check out their designs here.

Well done to everyone. We really hope you enjoyed taking part.

THANKYOU XX
